Although the script might seem a bit cliche (alienated city boy goes into the wild and discovers true values) and a lot of the typical ingredients are in there (challenged friendship, father son relationship, growing up, choosing your path through tough times, .

..) the great performances by all of these great actors really makes this one more than worth while from beginning till end. I loved its slow pace and beautiful imagery. A film that felt like home to me.
