Review of Hulk Vs. (2009) by Rob R — 13 Feb 2009
Everyones favorite Green Goliath gets his own animated movie. Well, 2 movies, I guess. It's not a secret that the Hulk is my favorite, so I pretty much had to buy this.
Hulk vs. Thor.
I would consider it the superior of the two. They story itself seemed more solid, the fights were longer, the movie was longer (45 minutes) and it really seemed to be about something. Besides, a fight with Thor is certain to be epic. Hulk has come to Asgard.
Hulk vs. Wolverine.
While not as good as the previous, that doesn't mean it's bad. You should see it for Deadpool alone, and all his hilarious remarks. It's not as long (37 minutes), and the ending gave little closure. Apparently, it is supposed to be a prequel to some new episodes of Wolverine & the X-men.
The only real complaint other than the ending to Hulk vs. Wolverine, is the animation. It's not terrible, I just don't like the style. It looks like the new Batman cartoon, western mixed with eastern anime, and I don't like it. I prefer the animation of the 90's cartoons or the recent Dr. Strange or Iron Man cartoon movies. Some of the characters don't quite look right (although the Enchantress and Sif look FINE). Sabretooth has a weird face, and Deadpool should have been more muscular.
If your a fan of comics, or any of these characters then there is no reason not to give it a look. If your not, then why are you reading this?
Hope to see more.
