Review of Hulk (2003) by Jordan R — 08 Apr 2014
It seems like I'm the only person in the world who really loves this movie. Yes it's long and slow at times, but it's also one of the most thoughtful, well crafted superhero movie (along with The Dark Knight).
It's less about the big green monster that the movies named after, and more about the human behind the monster and his psychological struggle with his past and his father. One thing I don't like about it, is the weird comic book edits throughout the movie.
The reason I think Ang Lee decided to utilize this effect is to make feel more like a comic book movie and less like a drama(which it really is). Despite its flaws, it's truly an unappreciated masterpiece.
