Review of Hulk (2003) by Gothamite B — 23 May 2014
A predictable, bland film. One of the worst origins films for a comic book yet.
Connelly and Nolte are the only shining actors in this film even though their characters, more so Nolte's are written poorly.
The lead, Bana, is bland and holds almost no screen presence. You feel like you want to look at every other actor in the room when he is in a scene.
The special effects are poor, and in a Hulk film they need to be very good.
One positive is that the story holds your interest even though you know what's going to happen in the end mostly because the Hulk is a interesting character and if done right can be a great film although this falls well short.
Overall if your a fan of the Hulk you may be disappointed with this film, this film could have been very good if done right.
