Review of Hukkle (2002) by Joseph S — 09 Mar 2009
Little cute film about Hungarian village life. With no particular story to tell and lacking dialogue, it relies in its powerful rural beautiful images of peasants and nature. Its main objective seems to be taking us closer to nature and a slower pace of life contrasted with the present but ignored technological advances which touch the village from time to time but fail to change it in any visible way.
Lovely way to get immersed in a foreign culture departing from pure documentary form.
