Review of Hugo (2011) by Francisco R — 20 Jan 2013
This movie is magical, easily the best title of the 2012's Oscars. Don0t think this is a childish movie adapted by a kid's book with a story about a kid, clocks and a key, cause it's not. Hugo is a magical story about peoples' goals and the magic of cinema.
Scorcese's direction makes everything happen like it did here, the cast is terrific, Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield and Chloe Grace-Moretz are all fantastic and a great soundtrack accompaines the scenes of the movie very well.
Hugo is one of the best movies I've seen in my life, it's almost magical, and it reminds you again, that a movie is not seeing an actor shooting an alien, a movie is when you see something that looks like a dream, movies are the closest thing to the dreams, and that's the point of this movie.
Hugo is nearly a dream. Masterpiece movie.
