Despite having been beautifully filmed and showcasing a rare sense of admirable innocence, Scorsese's "Hugo" fails to live up to expectations and lacks some much-needed fast pacing. Let's be honest, for a movie that's aimed at kids, it doesn't do a very good job at entertaining, well, kids.
