Review of Hugo (2011) by Adam F — 25 Jan 2015
"Hugo" is a film about art, dreams, film, loneliness, friendship and so much more. Like in real life, very character has a story and dreams of their own. When the movie started, I smiled and I never stopped.
It's beautiful and inspiring, and my favourite movie of the year. Better than all of that though, it's a movie than anyone can see. Unlike so many other films appropriate for children, it isn't bogged down with stupid jokes and it never talks down to it's audience.
I loved it. (3D Theatrical version on the big screen, December 2011).
