Review of Hugo (2011) by The Movie C — 09 Nov 2015
Most boring "children's" movie of all time. I didn't laugh for once in this entire film for 2 hours and 6 minutes. An important element in a children's movie is comedy, and this film has no comedy. Not a single goddamn piece of laughter.
This film also lacks charm and fantasy. Even live action children's movies (for example, Goosebumps) still contain some piece of fiction and fantasy. This film.. is too realistic, there's nothing magic, no fantasy, no monsters, no superheroes, no bad guys etc.
Overall, this film was pretty disappointing. No wonder this film flopped the Box Office.
