Review of Hugo (2011) by Manu A — 27 Jul 2013
This movie grabs you right from the get go with it's great costume design, effects, and charismatic acting. The dialog was quite good and the conversations are often clever. Martin Scorsese is quite skillful at bending your imagination and pulling your mind further and further into the film as it progresses.
I enjoyed the exposure to the beginning of movie making and it was quite emotional to see a story that likely has some truth behind it. The beautiful clockwork scenes and landscape of Paris are more than enough to warrant a viewing.
