Review of Hugo (2011) by Eric C — 16 Jan 2013
3D's the reason this movie was considered. The Academy had to put it in the Best Picture nominees and act like Martin Scorsese's first foray into 3D was a masterpiece. Sorry, Martin. James Cameron already beat you.
Hugo (3D) was a charming kids show with some good acting and a fun story involving (SPOILER ALERT) kids that discover robots that draw pictures that are used to make movies in early 20th century Paris.
You know, even though I don't think this movie should be considered for awards, I guess I'm glad the Oscars are nominating movies that are fun instead of the Why So Serious Aughts movies.
