Review of Hudson Hawk (1991) by Mike B — 10 Mar 2008
This is the Moonlighting Bruce Willis, the fun, has his own band, likes to be called Bruno, wine cooler schilling Bruce Willis 80's kids grew up on. The cast runs the talent gamut from Frank Stallone to James Coburn.
Richard E. Grant and Sandra Bernhard chew up the scenery in every shot. The term "so bad it's good" gets thrown around a lot but often it just means dull with a few upbeat moments. Not the case with Hudson Hawk, even if you hate it, it will be an entertaining type of hate.
I would play it in the Blockbuster I used to work at and EVERYONE would ask a. What the hell is this and why haven't I heard of it? and b. Can I rent it? But since we only had the one copy I would tell them no and send them home with Liar Liar or something.
