Review of Hudson Hawk (1991) by Simon T — 18 Dec 2017
What on earth was going on when this bizarre mash-up of sixties heist comedy and self-satisfied action thriller was being put together? It's very watchable, at least for the first hour, but becomes incoherent and unfathomable as it goes on.
Bruce Willis smirks and struts as only he can, Richard E. Grant looks unhappy as a camp villain, and James Coburn wanders around as if he actually understands the plot. Very very odd.
