Review of Howl (2010) by Kristina G — 31 Mar 2011
Stunning. Captivating. Emotive. Moving. Beautiful. Transient. Inspirational. I was not expecting to be affected by this film nearly as much as I was (don't trust the reviews). Clearly, some people did not understand the direction and vision that was fundamental to the film's development, and what a shame that is.
The cinematography neared perfection; starkly depicted scenes of constraint and force remained colorless and bleak while Ginsburg's written words were brought to life with surrealistically-colored imagery.
Hats off to Mr. Franco and the entire cast, impassioned performances well done.
