Review of Howl (2010) by Jeff B — 09 May 2011
James Franco is brilliant at imitating Ginsberg's vocal mannerisms, but I felt that his interpretation of Ginsberg differed from the darkness of the animated version of the poem. The animation is at times brilliant, but it also feels dated - especially in the way that the human figures move.
Jon Hamm is playing the lawyer as a toned-down version of Donald Draper.
