Review of Howl (2010) by Adam C — 15 Aug 2011
James Franco's performance as Allen Ginsberg was without a doubt accurate and captivating, but the film's means of progression and stylistic choices were far from perfect. On one end you have a very talented actor opening up your mind to the world of a famous poet, but on the other you have very mediocre visuals and filmmaking techniques backing it up.
Unfortunately the end result is a movie that's hard to finish, and you might as well just read the poem.
