Review of Howl (2010) by Jon R — 28 Sep 2013
A fairly surface examination of Ginsburg and the poem. Not that it doesn't make the poem more accessible or doesn't go deep in that sense, but the movie is divided up between the court case, animated sequences of the poem and interview scenes with Ginsburg, all of which explore exactly what you'd expect them to.
It is creative and will shed light on his life for most people, but I felt it could have gone deeper or been more raw and moving.
