Review of Howards End (1992) by David F — 19 Jan 2008
Engrossing film, gently spun thread by thread into a profound tale of class, idealism, corruption and poetic justice. Beautifully performed, exquisitely designed, sumptuously filmed and brittle in its irony, Howard's End is among the best of the Merchant Ivory films.
