Review of Howard Zinn: You Can't Be Neutral on a Moving Train (2004) by Eric G — 24 Feb 2008
One of the best uses of life I've ever seen. What amazes me is how "dangerous" a man like Zinn can be to the system because he's simply using his brain. He reminds us of the things that we all think seem incongruent but are conditioned to ignore.
He reminds us what democracy actually is and the power we have to explore and exploit it. That democracy is not the Hill in Washington, but anywhere we decide to meet and express our rights to free assembly, expression, and speech.
Everyone should see this movie, read his books, and learn about our rights in a time where they are slipping away because of ignorance and control.
