Review of Howard the Duck (1986) by Jason M — 13 Apr 2011
I love this movie, no apologies. It's absurd, funny, and just plain fun. The special effects are fantastic, right before everything became CGI and plastic. The soundtrack and score is fantastic, the acting is hilarious.
Jeffrey Jones and Tim Robbins have a lot of fun with this movie. I first saw this when I was about 7 years old, and the first romantic crush I've ever had in my life was for Lea Thompson in this. She has this huge 80's hair, almost like a lioness, and she's really charming and sexy in her role.
Not to mention, she performs all of the Thomas Dolby songs, which are incredibly catchy and underrated. I don't know why people hate this movie. There's so much craziness going on, it's incredibly unique.
