Review of Howard the Duck (1986) by John L — 26 Jul 2011
It didn't deserve the Razzies for worst supporting actor or worst special effects. But worst movie of the decade? Maybe. I thought Tim Robbins was great and the villain was absolutely hilarious! The creepy relationship between Howard the duck and the female character was just too freakish and uncomfortable though.
And Howard was a jerk that didn't do jack squat. The side characters pretty much did everything for him until the very end when the monster conveniently lined up perfectly in the sights on the gun Howard used (which was given to him by a side character who could have just as easily used it himself).
Terrible movie. And although I loved a few side characters, I could never watch this garbage again.
