Review of Howard the Duck (1986) by Gordon R — 05 Aug 2014
When I first saw this movie, I hated it and thought it was the worst thing that George Lucas has done; but now, as I looked back at it, I started to laugh at it and enjoy it for what it is. "Howard the Duck" is definitely one of those movies that it is so bad its really good.
Lea Thompson was actually great in this movie as well as her singing voice. Jeffery Jones was having fun with his role as the Dark Overlord, and Tim Robbins was just overacting (but now I'm over it).
John Barry's score was fantastic as well as some of the songs by Thomas Dolby. The special effects from ILM were not bad, but they do add a charm to it just by providing a "B" movie feel.
If you are fan of movies that are so bad they're good, then this is for you! Check it out!
