Review of Howard the Duck (1986) by Ryan J — 15 Aug 2010
This is another typical 80's movie that doesn't make sense and that has, at some point, a music performance with the main characters where cheap-synth pop-rock poses as something heavier. The storyline and the special effects are similar to those displayed in Ghostbusters (Reitman 1984).
Also, the acting is usually good yet overdone at times. The movie lacks focus, as there are parts that would not be particularly appropriate for kids but the general feel is that it is family-oriented.
Overall, this movie is underrated.
