Exciting, endearing and emotionally epic, How to train your Dragon is probably one of the most underrated animated films ever. It tells the story of Hiccup, a young teenager who wishes to achieve the best at being a dragon slayer and warrior of which his own father has established greatly.

He realises that he has a hidden talent that no one else has, the ability to connect with a dragon's senses in a more smarter yet safer way, as shown when he meets Toothless a.k.a.- Night Fury. He goes through the struggle to become the best he can, the courage and determination it takes to fight and also the threat of killing all dragons for life.

Most of the time, it's non-stop epic action with incredible spectacles for scenery, but also those heartfelt and so sweet moments which really touch your heart and almost moved me to tears. I adore the animation and the special effects.

Everything was perfected: character design, dragons, scene setting, water and fire effects and everything else was beautifully done. I also loved the music, it was so enthralling and innovative and thoroughly emotive, and I would definitely label it as one of the best soundtracks.

The character cast were also very well chosen. Astrid was my favourite character. she's definitely a real dark horse in the film, and Gober was really funny too. As a whole, this film is fantastic.

From acting to animation, it excels in every area.
