It didn't seem to have the same heart that the first one had. It was good but I loved the first one, and this one was just there. One thing that annoyed me though was the main antagonist. How he controls the dragons under his command is never really explained, especially the alpha dragon.
You haven't earned his trust like Hiccup did with Toothless in the first movie, and you certainly aren't big enough to man handle the alpha...so why would the alpha listen to you? He wouldn't! He would just eat you, and then there would be no antagonist for HtTYD2.
