Really great movie. This is a sequel done right. It takes everything great about the original, and merely uses that as a starting point, expanding the universe and story exactly as a sequel should. It maintains the same sense of wonder and excitement of the original while managing to deliver a fresh story. At one point I was worried the movie was going to go in the direction of a sudden cliffhanger like some recent movies had done, seeing as another sequel is already in the plans. While I don't think that would have been terrible, I'm much happier with the way it played out than I would have been with a cliffhanger. The animation is just as stunning as the original but they've managed to improve the visuals through some spectacular cinematography, due to their collaboration with visual consultant Roger Deakins. Excellent movie, and I can't wait for the next.
