Review of How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) by David B — 04 Jan 2015

A sequel that DreamWorks can be proud of. This is very much better than the first film, with the visuals better than ever and a complex storyline that makes this the best animated film in years. The voice cast are back along with brand new ones but it's the well animated dragons that steal the scenes.

Humour is sent at pitch perfect pace as well as some serious dark moments and has one heart felt scene. It's a film that feels very grown up but still good enough for children and adults alike. Sequels come and go but it's worthy for the animation genre.

Brilliant and beautiful sequences, full of humour and a good storyline. I look forward to the third, in which Pixar have mastered but not yet Dreamworks, this will be interesting.
