A really well animated film sequel to 2010's How To Train Your Dragon. This time around the film takes place 5 years from the original. Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his dragon Toothless have brought upon an era of peace to their land of Berk.

Chief Stoick (Gerard Butler) is getting Hiccup ready to take over and become the new chief, but Hiccup just wants to explore the lands. When scouting ahead one day Hiccup runs across a mysterious rider named Valka (Cate Blanchett) who turns out to be Hiccup's long lost mother.

Reunited, they both uncover a plot by the evil Drago (Djimon Hounsou) who is creating an army of dragons using an Alpha to control them. It's up to Hiccup and his friends to save the day. First off the animation is super super good this time around.

The first film looked great, but this one is just downright fantastic. Colors pop, textures look great and skin sags and bobs. The film has a nice mix of story and action for both the young and adult alike.

One thing I found lacking though was that I wish the relationship between HIccup and Valka was a bit more explained. They're separated for 20 years and than it's just like, "Hey, sorry I was gone for two decades," and, 'Oh, its cool.

" Like no dramatic fight at the very least? Anywho overall, its a great one. If you enjoyed the first film you will definitely like this one like I did!
