How to Train Your Dragon 2 manages to follows its predecessors in every right way by adding in all of the old elements of the first film, while adding in some twists, characters, and even better animation.
Though, while it suffers from some predictability with its story, and main villain (even for a kids film), this movie definitely builds on the first film and from the books it's based on.
