Review of How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) by Rasmus M — 06 May 2015

The first film turned out to be DreamWorks's greatest masterpieces, which left very high expectations for the sequel. Fortunately, flawless combination of fantastic action, authentic emotion and humor in different kinds of forms, makes How To Train Your Dragon 2 one absolute highlight in the history of animated films, which fulfills all those expectations. Despite taking the adventure into bigger circles from it's predecessor, the main theme of How To Train Your Dragon 2 is still the young protagonist finding himself.

If something negative simply has to be said, that would about convincing, but yet little one-dimensional Drago Bludvist as villain and about handful of undeveloping side characters whose role in the actual events of the films seems almost unexisting. Still, if DreamWorks manages to make the 3rd installment anywhere close to this level, a quality trilogy is complete.
