The sequel to How to Train Your Dragon, How to Train Your Dragon 2 in my opinion, is a superior movie to the first one. It is everything that a sequel should be.

The heroic Viking Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) and his faithful dragon Toothless must protect the peace-- and save the future of men and dragons from the power-hungry Drago (Djimon Hounsou).

There is nothing to say about the animation except the fact that it is beautiful in every way. With all the bright colors, How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a lot of fun. Like it's predecessor, How to Train Your Dragon 2 is not like other animated films. Most animated films nowadays are either boring, uninteresting, or rely on cliches. And How to Train Your Dragon 2 does not do that. The voice cast is just as good as the animation. There is Kit Harington, Cate Blanchett, and Djimon Hounsou (who I just mention) who are just as good as the cast in the previous film.

The film is way more emotional than it's predecessor. Like it's predecessor, I felt the emotional impact unlike most films today. I felt a lot of sympathy for the characters especially when one of the characters die (spoiler!).

What makes How to Train Your Dragon 2 more exciting than it's predecessor is the action. It is more thrilling, more intense, and more adventurous than the first movie. Even though I didn't see this in 3D, it is still very exciting.

Overall, How to Train Your Dragon 2 is a film that kids and adults to see. Not only it was one of the best films of 2014 but it is the best animated film that came out of 2014. And yes, it is better than The Lego Movie but hey it is my opinion. I do recommend that everyone including the kiddies to see this film. Also, see the first one too. It is just as great as this one.
