A harrowing, rousing, occasionally tear-jerking account of the days of the AIDS pandemic, almost a war film, a tale of struggle, sorrow, loss, tenaciousness, audacity and perseverance, told through the voices of the fallen and the gaze of the survivors, people who fought and won the right for the HIV infected to live, even if they themselves didn't make it.
