Review of How to Start a Revolution (2012) by Paul N — 17 Mar 2012
I've just watched the film and am sitting here now with the fire of inspiration in my heart. This is a marvelous portrait of a man and the profound ideas that are changing the world. What I found particularly liberating was the fact that the people behind these great revolutions - Mr.
Sharp included - are decidedly human. One often imagines that change of such grand scale can be conjured and led only by near-superhuman characters, historic figures of great and rare charisma. This film reminds us of Margaret Mead's conviction that it is ordinary people that change the world - and of course it is Gene Sharp that provides us with a set of tools and tactics that can help us do just that.
