Review of How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) by Andrew D — 22 Jul 2007
"Class address, class background,.
Class characters." (I.e., "nothing under six figures a year."--which in the fifties must have gone a longer way than today.) Anyway, the premise is this--three models set up shop together in a gorgeous rented apt in NYC to trap rich husbands. Bacall, Monroe, and Grable are not only beautiful and fabulously costumed, but fantastic in their respective roles, and the movie is replete with hilarious lines. You'll be laughing all the way through. Bonus: Loco (Grable's) love interest, a forest ranger from Maine, is totally hot (Rory Calhoun).
