Review of How to Lose Friends & Alienate People (2008) by Mike C — 13 Sep 2009
An average film with some good moments in it. Strong language and very brief nudity set this film in the adult arena. Simon Pegg is another English comedian making his way in America as a leading man but supported by some big names, Kirsten Dunst, Jeff Bridges, Danny Huston and Gillian Anderson.
Megan Fox was the surprise in this as it seems she can actually act and gave a lovely performance. Whilst watching Simon Pegg I kept thinking about the bald round headed Toby Young, whose autobiography it is, and whose face seems to appears on lots of those TV shows with titles like "Top 50 worst moments" or "Best celebrity melt down" and I couldn't help that feel his mission on popping the celebrity bubble has not gone to plan.
