Personally, this is one of my favorite romantic comedies. If you spout that its too coincidental that they both made opposing bets as they did (Kate's character's bet that following her rules of how to lose a guy in ten days and Matthew's that he could make any woman fall in love in ten days), then you really need to watch more romantic comedies.
That's pretty much what a romantic comedy is about. It's a funny movie that points out the flaws that both sides in a relationship have and the mistakes that both make that sort of give you the freshening of mind to tell you that maybe something you are doing is wrong.
When I think about it, it reminds me much of the newer movie, "He's just not that into you." Might I add that I love Kate Hudson as a comedic actress and Matthew McConaughey as the bad boy who falls in love.
The two make a great pair in this light hearted funny romantic comedy.
