Review of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003) by Keegan K — 24 Oct 2013
This is one of those romantic comedies where I could have stopped halfway through the movie but I was glad I kept watching until the end.
The whole premise is Kate Hudson is writing an article about how to lose a Guy in 10 days. On the other hand, Matthew McConahay is trying to prove that he can make any girl fall in love with him in 10 days.
Kate played her part well because if I was Matthew McConahay, I would have up and left so long ago. I almost ended up stopping the movie because of how annoying she was in trying to get him to leave her.
It wasn't until Kate and Matthew visit his quirky family in Staten Island, that the two really drop their games and fall for each other.
All in all it was a great romantic comedy. There were plenty of funny moments and Matthew's friends were great to watch. Kate is absolutely beautiful in this movie but you have to get over the first half of the movie to make it to the end.
