Review of How to Let Go of the World and Love All the Things Climate Can't Change (2016) by Everett — 05 Jul 2016
This film ought to be seen. It isn't perfect; I found the first two-thirds more compelling the rest, but in this film are some scenes that I won't forget (e.g., Beijing, and the northeast coast after Sandy, and some astonishing graphics of deforestation).
I liked the naturalistic style, which made it far more watchable and less "educational" - though it is that. Very much so, and validated by famous experts (there's a brief sequence of shots of each of them when they say nothing, and are silently taking in the grave import of what they're telling us: Just chilling.) I don't see too many people out there trying to do anything about climate change; I'm not. So thanks to the filmmaker for putting himself out there.
