Review of How to Get Rid of the Others (2007) by George S — 24 Jul 2009
Provocative political satire has an intriguing premise - a new law has been passed that deems all social misfits, who haven't contributed anything positive to society must be eliminated! - but the heavy-handed approach along with an underdeveloped script (the mass media doesn't get a word in at all) and uneven acting (Rasmus Botoft and Lousie Mieritz struggle to make their characters believable) sink the film, in spite of its occasional sharp observations.
Soren Pilmark actually comes off best as the villain and creates the most sympathetic character in the film, which was hardly the point.
