Review of How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989) by Jean-Paul S — 26 May 2007
Robinson's follow-up to Withnail & I is hilarious in the first half but suffers in the second half when it turns into an anti-Thatcher rant. Quite literally in the last scene. The best satire is subtle but unfortunately this film is so didactic that its message is ultimately lost.
Great job by Grant, though.
