Inferior to the cartoon? Duh. Terrible? No! Jim Carrey is great, the effects, tone, humor are all top notch, and this is one Christmas (pardon my political incorrectness, but when are politicians correct?) movie worth watching all year round.
Verdict: This is a real hamdinger of a movie, so get it on DVD.
