Review of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) by Hannah K — 04 Dec 2013
How The Grinch Stole Christmas is a terrible remake to the classic special. When I first saw the trailer to this, I was scar for life from the scary live action Grinch design. Then when I got older, I find the film stupid to watch.
The story is nothing like the special at all, except for the third act when it starts to be like the special. The humor is okay at times, but gets completely annoying and unfunny. The character(aka Who's) are Whorable.
Every who down in Whoville know nothing about the true meaning of Christmas, except little Cindy Lu who, who is annoying as F#ck. The Grinch is okay, but not as good as the original. The only difference is this Grinch is completely bizarre.
I do give the film credit, it do give the film credit, it does have a good background design to look at. As a Christmas special, it's not bad. But it's not anything special either. As a movie though, it's awful to watch as a terrible remake.
