Stella is a forty year old successful business woman working in stocks and bonds. She is raising her son as a single mom and has been divorced for four years. Her best friends talk her into taking a vacation to Jamaica where she meets a twenty year old and falls in love. Can Stella's complicated life handle love?

Kevin Rodney Sullivan, director of Guess Who, Barber Shop 2, America's Dream, Soul of the Game, Boy Meets Girl, and episodes of the television series NCIS and 30 Rock, delivers How Stella Got Her Grove Back. The storyline for this picture is very good and well executed. I thought the setting, pace, and character development was well done. The cast also delivers solid performances and includes Angela Bassett, Taye Diggs, Whoopi Goldberg, Regina King, Richard Lawson, Lee Weaver, and Michael Pagan.
"In case you haven't noticed, I'm old enough to be your mother.".
I came across this on HBOGO and decided to give it a viewing. I will say this was well done and I enjoyed watching this unfold. The character evolution, dialogue, and ultimate conclusion were solid. I recommend watching this at least once. This is a solid addition to the romantic drama genre.
