Review of How She Move (2008) by Jeremy R — 31 Jan 2008
One of the more oxymoronic films in a long time: an undoubtedly indie film with a fair share of Hollywood cliches, and dance scenes that are energetically-performed but not very excitedly-choreographed.
But the gritty cinematography, realistic performances and locations, and the director actually lingering on the dancing instead of quick-cutting elevate this above your typical dance drama.
