Review of How It Ends (2018) by Jaroslaw J — 20 Jul 2018
This movie was great. The only fault I had with it was Theo's overuse of the F- Bomb. It seemed out of place and unnecessary most of the time. It starts with a cliff hanger and ends with a cliff hanger.
It has you thinking and speculating all the way thru and leaves room for so much more at the end. My fave scene was when he shot Jeremiah. I was wondering if he had caught wind of the shade Jeremiah was throwing and he did.
Forrest Whitaker acted on the same level as always to me. I never thought of him as particularly strong in craft but definitely does what is required of the role. I feel like the critics are politically biased against this movie and there may be some animus that the female love interest is a black girl who is pregnant by a super hot young white lawyer who is trying to win her black Fathers approval.
There are way worse movies and shows out like "Twin Peaks" which was an utter disaster in the 90s and is today yet Lynch is getting an award? Please. It's all politics. This is a great movie.
I would love to see parts 2, 3 and 4. This could be a limited series or give sequels either way, the starring actors are likeable, popular and gorgeous. The setting is apropo for the world climate at this time.
I just feel like this movie is right on time.
