Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Nik D — 07 Oct 2013

As the story is difficult to invest in, How I Live Now is yet another movie which relies on Saoirse Ronan to carry it. Thankfully, she isn't alone, as there are strong performances from most of the cast.

However, these performances are not enough to rescue what is a brilliant world that was set up, lost to a generic return to loved one storyline. You won't regret spending time or money on it, but it is hard to recommend to anyone who isn't a die-hard fan of the book.
