Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Lihui C — 18 Apr 2014
The movie plot was quite original, I didn't expect such a dark second half. Plus I really do like Saoirse Ronan and her performance here was great. She gave life to this rude and grungy american teen whose evolution and blooming makes her really lovable.
However, the whole World War 3 plot was a bit overwhelming, strange (what is exactly going on there?) and the "survival" run through the country a bit long and tiring. Though I have to say the cinematography was great (loving the green English landscapes) and the ending unpredictable.
