Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Brad S — 26 May 2014
A valiant effort that works best in its first half when it's focused on the kids all hanging out in the countryside. Ronan, MacKay and Holland each give endearing performances that made me want to spend more time watching their characters.
What doesn't work is the vague plot and character motivations. It just didn't live up to its potential. Maybe a second viewing might be better down the road. The cinematography and production design were great, along with the music and sound.
