Review of How I Live Now (2013) by Moya W — 12 Nov 2013
I remember reading the book a few years ago but I can't even remember if I actually finished it. I assume that must mean that it wasn't very good. But the movie was.
I think Saoirse Ronan is one of the best young actresses that the UK have to offer and she did a great American accent.
I could still feel that it didn't embrace the important subjects and illegalities the way that it should have done and it would have captured you more if it had.
But other than that this is a movie about life and death and everything in between. It has incredible acting and a great soundtrack and it is a fight. A fight for love and a fight for survival and it is a fight for life. Because when you find the reason to why you are living, it is most certainly worth fighting for.
