Review of How High (2001) by Ross D — 09 Jan 2008
This is a modern cinemati classic featuring Redman and MEthod Man, rappers. In the movie, Method Man's best friend's dreadlocks catch on fire and then he goes up in flames, jumps out his apartment window and then lives, only to get hit by a bus immediately.
Method Man uses his friend, Ivory, uses his ashes to fertilize a cannabis plant. Whoever smokes the weed from this particular plant sees Ivory's spirit from the dead. Ivory was a smart brother so he encourages Method Man to go back to school instead of just selling pot.
When back at school, MM smokes the weed before the test and Ivory helps him with the answers, Ivory can also have anybody in heaven to help MM as well. Strangely enough, MM and Redman get perfect scores on the THC test, Testing for Higher Credentials, and then go to Harvard.
The rest you can figure out. Very funny movie, a little immature, but a good comedy to watch.
